The Exige S V6 Cup Car USA
This new track weapon weighs 2381 pounds and is powered by a 3.5L Toyota DOHC V6 with a Harrop HTV 132 Supercharger utlizing Eaton TVS technology.
The engine is good for 345 HP at 7,000 rpm and 295 ft-lb of torque at 4,500 rpm. 6.9 lbs per HP power to weight.
The engine is mated to a 6 speed transaxle with a electronic locking differential. The engine sump is baffled to handle the cornering side loads and the exhaust flows through a Sport Exhaust system with a bypass.
Safety equipment includes a full FIA certified roll cage, FIA Fire System, 6 point harness and a HANS compatible seat.
Brakes and suspension consist of 4-pot AP calipers that clamp onto ventilated cross drilled 2-piece rotors. Suspension has forged aluminum double wishbones with sway bars, Eibach springs and Bilstein 2-way adjustable dampers.
Electronic driving assists include the Lotus Dynamic Performance Management (DPM) system that has 4 modes - Touring, Sport, Race and DPM Off. The DPM system controls brake assistance, electronic brake distribution, corner brake control, torque control, electronic locking differential and electronic stability control.
Performance:
0-62 (100kph): 3.8 seconds
0-100 (160kph): 7.9 seconds
Only 10 of these cars will be sold through select Lotus dealers.
The Exige S V6 Cup Car was debuted at the Lotus Cup USA finale at Spring Mountain Raceway in Pahrump NV the weekend of Dec 15-16th.
