You will receive a $50 discount, free lunch, and window stickers to go out in ALL of the sessions.&nbsp; &nbsp;You must be a High Intermediate or Advanced driver with 20+ trackdays experience including at least 5 with GGLC.&nbsp; You must be pre-approved for this, so send an email to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:events@gglotus.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">events@gglotus.org<\/a>&nbsp;with your qualifications before you sign up.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>This event is open to\u00a0 ALL brands of cars.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$290 for GGLC members and $310 for non-members.\u00a0 You can join the club for $25 when you sign up and\u00a0 take the $20 discount immediately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cancellations with full refund are allowed before May 7.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$100 discount if you are a first-time track driver or first time tracking with the GGLC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We will have experiened drivers available to coach Beginners and Novices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each group is scheduled for five 25 minute sessions and one thirty minute session.\u00a0 The 30 minute session will be the last one of the day and open to all cars with restricted passing rules.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We have a few spots open for beginners who have never driven on a racetrack before.\u00a0 We will pair you with a personal coach for the entire day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Novice\/Intermediate Group will allow passing\u00a0 without a pointby on most of the straights and passes in turns only allowed with a pointby..<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intermediate\/Advanced group is open passing.\u00a0 Open passing is NOT a race.\u00a0 Cars being passed are rerquired to make it happen easily and safely.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open wheel cars are allowed in the Advanced Group only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Golden Gate Lotus Club has been running open track events for over 20 years.\u00a0 We are a non-profit group and our goal is to provide low-hassle open track days with responsible drivers and maximum track time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All brands of cars are welcome at our events.\u00a0 Typical events are about 15% Lotus and 85% other cars.\u00a0 \u00a0Lemons-type race cars are allowed if they are in excellent mechanical condition (Lemons type cars will receive a special safety inspection at the track).\u00a0 Open top cars must have a roll bar with rear braces or factory installed roll-over protection (pop-up bars or similar).\u00a0 Roll bars in open cars must pass the broomstick test (top of drivers helmet must not be above the top off the roll bar and windscreen.\u00a0 Open wheel race cars are allowed in the Advanced Group only.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Registration is now open for our Thunderhill 5 mile event on May 22.\u00a0Click here\u00a0to register via MotorsportsReg.\u00a0 We have sold one run session to another club who will be running their own cars and rules.\u00a0 The GGLC will have 2 groups.\u00a0 One for Novice\/Intermediate with restricted passing rules, and one for Intermediate\/Advanced with open passing.\u00a0 &hellip;
