Compilation of old school rallying videos from the time when men were men and safety was was for wimps.

For some extra Lotus content check out this video of Henri Toivonen in the Talbot Sunbeam Lotus. Toivonen and Guy Fréquelin drove the car to the 1981 World Rally Constructors Championship. Incidentally their co-drivers during the 1981 season were Jean Todt (current FIA president) and Claudio Berro (current head of Lotus Motorsports)

Registration for the April 10th autocross is now open

Registration for the Saturday April 10th GGLC autocross event is now open. It is a practice event with no points and will be held at the Centennial Lot of Great America in Santa Clara. As you can see in the video we had a great time the last event there and we look forward to starting the 2010 season with another fantastic event.

Only participating GGLC members can register during first week of registration. Club members are also given preference on the waitlist.

Making Hybrids sound Sporty

Car & Driver magazine got a demo of the HALOsonic Sound Synthesis developed by Lotus Engineering for the Evora 414E Hybrid concept car. It allows the driver to select a range of different virtual engine configurations so that your hybrid sports car will still sound sporty even while running on electric power. Check out the video below for a full demo including virtual gear shifts.
