Registration for March 27th GGLC autox will open this Sunday

Hope you all have been working on your cars over the winter break and are ready to start racing again! The GGLC will hold our first autox event of the season at the Cow Palace in Daly City on Sunday March 27th.

Online waivers can be signed using SpeedWaiver. It’s best to use your phone as part of the signing process requires taking a photo of yourself:

Passengers, co-drivers, and instructors will be allowed to ride together in the same car as long as both people are vaccinated or both are from the same household. Guests are also welcome as long as they are vaccinated. Please read the event guidelines carefully:

The Cow Palace has been receiving noise complaints, so please note the following restrictions:

• Have a functioning muffled exhaust system
• Run adjustable exhaust systems in the quietest mode.
• Always follow local regulations when driving to and from the event.
• Accelerate slowly from lights. No “showboating” for any reason. Please report any violation to event management.
• Avoid extraneous revving of engines
• No heating brakes and/or tires by accelerating and decelerating off course
• Obey the 15mph paddock speed while on-site

Again, be sure to read the event guidelines. If you fail to adhere to them you will not be permitted to run and you will be asked to leave, forfeiting your entry fees.

GGLC autox Saturday June 27th at Cow Palace

Elises respect their elders

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 2020 Golden Gate Lotus Club Autocross season!

Our first event of the year is scheduled to be held on Saturday June 27th at the Cow Palace, Daly City. Registration will open for members at 8pm PST on 7-June-2020.

Please note that this event is not yet confirmed and may be cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. Full refunds will be given if the event is cancelled due to COVID-19 related reasons. Please refer to http://www.gglotus.org/ggcalend/covid.htm#autox for the GGLC COVID-19 policy and guidelines. If you are not willing to follow the GGLC and local COVID-19 orders, requirements and guidelines, then do not enter this event. Additionally, due to COVID_19 restrictions, lunch will not be provided and, as instructors will not be available, unfortunately this event will not be beginner friendly.

Registration will open for non-members next week. The entry fee is the same as last year, $65 for GGLC members and $75 for non-members.

For Lotus Elise/Exige/Evora drivers, please use the classification tool at http://www.gglotus.org/ggautox/classify.html to calculate your index points and your class to participate in. For non-Lotus cars, please use the appropriate SCCA class.

Registration for GGLC Autocross #3 (May 11) and British Car Autocross (Cow Palace, June 22) now open

Round 1 and Round 2 were fantastic events, thank you for supporting them. Registration for 2 upcoming events are now open!

GGLC AUTOCROSS ROUND#3 – MAY 11, 2013 – MARINA AIRPORT
Registration for Round 3, May 11th is now open for GGLC members. Sign up at http://gglotus.motorsportreg.com

The entry is still $60 for members and $70 for non-members (includes lunch). First time autox’ers (first time at a GGLC event) are eligible for a discount, so invite your friends along too. Non-members will be able to register in one week.

We continue our 8 classes. Please read over the details on the club page.

For Lotus Elise/Exige/Evora drivers, please choose your class that you want to participate in and also use the classification tool to calculate your index points. For non-Lotus cars, please use the appropriate SCCA class.

BRITISH CAR AUTOCROSS – JUNE 22, 2013 – COW PALACE, DALY CITY CA
The GGLC is estatic to partner with Triumph Travelers Sport Car Club to present the British Car Autocross on June 22nd at the Cow Palace in Daly City. This event is a celebration of British cars and open to owners/drivers of the likes of Jaguar, MG, Triumph, Morgan, McLaren, Mini, Austin, Marcos, TVR, Lotus and other British marques.

Entry is only $40 for GGLC members (non-members is $45), lunch is NOT included, but there will be food trucks on site.

This is a practice event, no-points.

We will use the 3 run-group format like we do at GGLC events. This is an invitational event and space is limited to 75 drivers. Sign-up early to secure a spot in this special day!
